Here are the ways you can contact us.
Who is RFID suitable for?
RFID is suitable for all types of retail and industrial operations where speed, accuracy and visibility of goods movement is key. It is ideally suited for high inventory turnover areas such as fashion, sports equipment, food, electronics, DIY segment, petstore or logistics. Thanks to its flexibility and wide scalability, RFID is beneficial for smaller stores looking to streamline warehouse processes and inventory, as well as for large chains with complex warehouse systems. The technology is also suitable for e-commerce warehouses, manufacturing or logistics companies, where it helps automate material flow and track production in real time.
Is investing in RFID worth it?
Yes, the payback period for the project is within 6-12 months. RFID saves time in inventory and all warehouse processes, eliminates theft, increases availability of merchandise in the store, minimizes losses, provides new user-friendly sales channels such as self-service checkouts and Scan & Pay applications, and significantly increases sales through the unique Buylo Upsell.
What is RFID and how does it work?
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology that uses radio waves to identify products without contact. Each product has an RFID tag (chip) that contains a unique identifier. A reader then remotely reads hundreds of these tags at a time and transmits the data to a software system.
What are the main benefits of RFID in retail?
RFID technology brings several key benefits to retail. It enables inventory to be taken significantly faster (essentially instantly). By tracking merchandise in real time, store operators have a constant overview of inventory, which eliminates errors, minimizes losses and simplifies replenishment of products on the sales floor. It also increases customer satisfaction by ensuring better product availability, faster service and accurate information online and in-store. RFID also supports the automation of many processes - from stocking to product retrieval. It also enables the much more popular wireless self-service checkouts or the Buylo Scan&Pay application - thus saving time and costs, including increasing sales. It also eliminates theft of goods.
How challenging is the implementation of RFID in the retail chain?
The complexity of RFID implementation depends mainly on the size and complexity of the operation. In general, depending on the size of the company and the number of stores, the implementation takes 1-4 months. In practice, the whole process involves the selection of appropriate tags according to the type of products, installation of readers in the warehouse and sales areas, integration of the system with the existing ERP, WMS or POS and subsequent testing. Training of staff to work effectively with the technology is also an integral part of the process. But thanks to Buylo's experienced, modular and easy-to-implement OPEN API, the entire process can be greatly simplified and tailored to each client - from smaller boutiques to large retail chains.
Is RFID safe for customers?
Yes, RFID tags contain no personal data and only communicate over very short distances (usually centimetres to metres). They are only used to identify products, not people.
